Hey guys...for the last year I've had the pleasure of corresponding with motorsports

Well boys and girls Donna has created her website
nitrodreamingphotography.shutterfly.com. Donna and I will continue to share pictures but
make sure to visit her website because you can't have too many pictures...We are planning to
finally meet at the National event in April at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.   Way go Donna!!!

June is busting out all over!!!

Yes, it's that time again....graduations, weddings, father's day,....just seems like
yesterday that we were ringing in the new year.  Well, folks half the years is
gone...summer is upon us once again...so
YourCarHost.com has scheduled yet
another Sonic NIte...
3431 N. Rancho Drive for those in the west end of town.
Summer hours will be
8PM-11PM (June thru September)....this event will be on the
4th Saturday of every month.   Contact Patty at 702-452-2277 for details.

Sonic Nite - E. Charleston - June 11, 2011

The thing I love about Sonic Nite is that you never know what to expect.  Although
YourCarHost .com changed to the summer hours (8PM-11PM) the cars and truck
were parked and ready for "showtime"...and at each of the Sonic Nites there always
new facec and more vehicles.....last nite was no different.  Of course, along with the
staff and Louis Tunes, and family and friends, Fred and I mingled and thanks to Patti
for helping with a very successful raffle, the evening was enjoyed by all.  See you all
next Saturday at Sonic Drive in at 1426 E. Lake Mead Parkway, 8PM-11PM.

Sonic Nite-Rancho Drive - June 25, 2011

This was the first time for YCH Sonic Nite at this location and the West Side came
through....great cars, good food and drink great music by mobile DJ Louie Tunes
(AKA Lou Hitt).  Special thanks to Karen (manager) and her crew for the excellent
service.  We even had friends come from Green Valley and the East side of town.
Thanks for all the support...winners for the night were Guy Andrews ($25.00
cash)....Barbara Goff ($25.00 Sonic Gift Certificate) and Chuck Sveda winner of Sonic
Crew Pick ($25.00 Sonic Gift Certificate).  Looking forward to next month.  Photos
taken by Donna Bistran and Barbara Goff will be posted to photo gallery.

Sonic Nite-E. Charleston - July 9, 2011

Although the skies opened up and drenched the streets of east Las Vegas, a few "die
the skies).  Louie Tunes (AKA Lou Hitt) was there too although with the threat of more
rain, we decided to not risk water damage to his equipment.  YCH would like to thank
Tom Berry and his crew for their patence and great service for the evening.  Special
thanks goes out to those who took a chance and came out.  Looking forward to seeing
you all at Sonic-Henderson....got a surprise!!

Sonic Nite - Henderson - July 16, 2011

The evening started out as usual....Louie Tunes setting up his equipment, getting
ready to DJ the event...the cars started to roll in.  Magoo donated a pinstriped Radio
Flyer mini wagon for "Artist's Choice" award.  (Check Sonic Nites for updates).  As
always, enjoyable evening for all.  Donna B (
Nitrodreamingphotography) dropped in
from SoCal and shot some pics while she was here.  Thanks Donna.

Sonic Nite-Rancho - July 23, 2011

Kim from PSCA met me at this Sonic Nite and handed me free passes for Showdown
After Sundown at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on July 29-30.  Thank you
Kim.  Tim Marshall (
Nitrodreamingphotography) paid us a visit and shot some pics
with his new camera.  Thanks Tim.  Artist's pick for the eveniing (pinstriped item
donated by Magoo) was a 1967 Camaro (see Sonic Nites for pics coming soon).

PSCA Showdown After Sundown Drag racing and Car Show

The night was a little humid but there was no rain (that's a good thing)  After I made
sure that my friends were taken care of at the gate, I entered the pits.  After visiting
local drivers, I had to meet Donna B (
Nitrodreamingphotography.shutterfly.com) to
deliver items she requested.  Great to see Donna, Tim, Ron...all working hard and
getting ready to head out to shoot more pics.  Ran into
Kenny Youngblood-gave him
a hug and took a quick trip through the car show sponsored by Lucas Oil.  Some
fantastic looking cars, trucks and bikes.
911 Rememberance had their vehicles
present..hope everyone had a grea ttime.

I'm back!! - Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk OH

Thelma and Louise took a 5K mile road trip to Norwalk OH for the Pontiac Nationals
August 5-7...what a beautiful facility. Also visited Marion County International
Raceway...humidity was so bad (how bad was it)...I know Las Vegas is a dry heat, but
between the humidity and the bugs...I wasn't a happy camper.  The staff was cordial
and helpful and fans and racers and car show participants were too.  Great show and
the next one is in Kansas in Wichita in October...

Special thanks to Donna Bistran
(nitrodreamingphotography.shufferfly.com) for
bringing me along..never been to Ohio...8 states, 6 tracks 7 days...what a rush!!!

Dairy Queen Friday Night Cruise - August 12  (courtesy of Eddie
Maloney)

Well, it was time for another Friday night cruise in over on the Dairy Queen on 4338
North Rancho Drive.  For the past two weeks the car count has been increasing
rapidly.  The DJ has also been present and we were told that it's a permanent gig from
now on.  I like this cruise in because it is in the evening and provides a lot of parking.
Foot traffic is increasing due to all the retail shops nearby. What I like about this
cruise in is any type of vehicle can show up and everyone has a good time! Special
thanks to my friend in the 1951 Ford for making me that nice wood Ford Mustang
Plaque!
