November 2011,
Another year is coming to an end and that means another year of the SEMA Show. This was only my
second time attending but I plan to start going every year. Big thanks to Patty for allowing me to represent
yourcarhost.com. I must say, having media credentials is the way to do it!
This year had several themes which we saw constantly over and over again. The big thing this year were
vehicle wraps,Modified late model Camaros and wide body kits especially on Mustangs. Ford Motor
Company came strong again with the biggest booth with representation from the John Force Racing Team.
One of the most photographed cars was a new Camaro in the Hot Wheels/GM section. Jeg Coughlin
unveiled his new Pro Stock Dodge for the next NHRA season at the MOPAR area. I found the car audio
section fairly limited this year but I think the focus for the Car Audio Retailers is the Consumer Electronic
Show in January.
Although I did not visit AAPEX, I did visit to tool and equipment area to see the latest products. I think this
area is very over looked by most but as a mechanic by trade, I wanted to see the latest tools of the trade.
My friend Bill and I even scored a gear wrench from Nascar Truck driver Tim Peters.
Overall, it was another great show that saw a record amount of exhibitors and spectators. I really wish I
had more time off from work so I could go all 4 days. Please see my photos on yourcarhost.com sema
photo gallery.
Eddie Maloney
On the road again
Meet Eddie Maloney. Although I've only known Eddie for a short time, he loves cars, car shows and he loves to take
pictures.
I first met Eddie while he was employed at the S trip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a cetified NHRA tech
inspector. He is currently busy with work, school and travel.
Thanks to Eddie and his assignments out of town, he can capture some of the events outside of the Las Vegas area.
Hope you will enjoy
